Ted Baseler was an ad man in the 1980s, servicing a little-known Woodinville winery. That winery recruited him to become its in-house director of marketing. During the next several decades, Baseler’s role evolved and so did the winery. Baseler became president and CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and has nurtured it to become the third-largest premium wine company in the U.S. Ste. Michelle’s growth and Baseler’s leadership has helped earn Washington wines a place of prominence on the world stage.

Baseler has grown the winery’s portfolio to include Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, 14 Hands, Northstar, Spring Valley, and Col Solare in Washington state, plus wineries in California and Oregon. Ste.
